Félix Márquez

Félix Márquez is an independent photographer and visual journalist whose practice is based in Mexico and whose work has attained international recognition for its rigor, depth, and ethical commitment.

In 2024, he received the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography for an image on migration, part of a series presented by The Associated Press. This distinction followed numerous accolades, including first place in the Single News category at POY Latam in 2023, and the Ibero-American Gabriel García Márquez Award in both 2017 and 2019. He has also been honored with the Veracruz State Journalism Award on four occasions, consolidating his trajectory as one of the most distinguished photojournalists in the region.

Márquez collaborates regularly with leading global media outlets such as The Associated Press, De Volkskrant, The Globe and Mail, The Guardian, and The Washington Post. His photographs have been widely published in The New York Times, National Geographic, Le Monde, Los Angeles Times, El País, El Mundo, AJ+, as well as numerous national newspapers and cultural magazines.
